Bulls & Bears

Bulls & Bears is an economics and finance club of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bannerghatta campus, that brings together students that share similar passions and interests for stock markets, investments, global markets and its dynamics to conduct events, workshops and seminars. In the past, we have conducted workshops on personal finance, basics of investing and fundamental/technical analysis. We conducted events such as cryptomania and Bullzai, the former being an event for all the crypto fanatics, where the participants were asked to come up with their own cryptocurrency and the latter is our annual event which comprises of mock stock, business quiz and merger & acquisition simulations.

Divisions -

• Investment Division – This division is engaged in analysing different securities in the stock market and predicting future movements in the stock prices by using fundamental and technical analysis. Based on the analysis, the division takes trades and maintains a virtual portfolio.

• Research Division – conducts detailed research in equity, currencies, commodity markets and analyses the variations in the economy to identify potential investment opportunities. It engages in macroeconomic trends and industry-wise analysis along with the nuances of financial markets by employing fundamental and quantitative techniques.

• Newsletter division – generates a weekly newsletter catering to the ongoing affairs around the world, which we believe every student at CHRIST must know. The newsletter offers sheers facts pertaining to the matters of general awareness and its interpretation. It strives to provide something of value in each issue: helpful tips, in-depth analysis and interpretations in the field of economics and finance.
